Spring has arrived and so has the time for our annual development effort. We have found that alternating years between hosting a gala and sponsoring a Day of Giving allows for all families to participate with us in a way that suits their giving preferences. This year, we will host a Day of Giving April 20th.
With 100% participation, we believe we can meet our goal of $100,000. Funds raised through Day of Giving will go toward funding the start of new initiatives and opportunities for our students such as the newly forming drill team and art club. We will also use funds to improve resource availability for the robotics club and other extracurricular groups, both academic and athletic. Additionally, we will continue to build our van fleet and prepare for the replacement of much used vans as they age. Funds raised in excess of those needed will go into a board controlled fund for covering expenses we cannot predict at this time. This just happened when we decided to invest over $10,000 on increasing our Automated External Defibrillator (AED) availability.
After having a medical emergency in Gym 1 which required the use of an available AED, we took stock of how quickly our coaches could access this lifesaving equipment at each of our venues. As a result, we made the decision to acquire nine additional AED units. One was generously donated by Reign Roofing and the other eight were purchased with money you have donated as part of our annual giving initiative. While we do not know every need in advance, we are always so thankful for the funds you make available to allow us to address our needs immediately upon recognition. Sometimes it even helps save a life! Click here to view KPRC Channel 2's coverage of Logos Prep's AED additions.
A culture of generosity at Logos Prep allows for the school’s ability to continue to provide for student needs and desires as we work together to make an impact for Christ. To track our participation, we are bringing back our grade level paw prints. All grades who reach 100% participation will receive a jeans day, and the grade level to fill their paw first will receive an ice cream party.
We appreciate you including Logos Prep in your spring charitable giving and are grateful for your support.
